Since November of 2024, we have been on a mission to photograph as many LGBTQIA+ identifying musicians as possible. So far, we’ve been able to photograph Lauren Sanderson, Peach PRC, MARIS, Caroline Kingsbury, Rachel Bochner, & Kami Kehoe. We are incredibly grateful to all of these amazing performers and their teams- especially the tour managers. We also owe a huge thank you to the venues who hosted them as they held space for queer love on their stages. We appreciate everyone who has taken part in this project in any way!

We see the immense value in the queer music industry as we both grew up in rural, religious, unforgiving areas where being queer was seen as a sin. We didn’t get to see this much LGBTQIA+ visibility in mainstream music when we were younger. We love getting to hear this music now because it’s so healing for us- and we can’t help but think of the younger generations living in those same areas of the U.S. that will be healed by this music, too.

About us:

Sarah Jae, a professional photographer & artist (above, right); and Makenna (left), her photography apprentice, stylist, writer, & partner, dreamed of a studio where LGBTQIA+ visibility and acceptance were the norm. Thus, Revolutionary Reputation was born.

This small business is women and queer-owned & operated, open to unique concepts, and safe for all. We are excited to offer revolutionary services to not only the LGBTQIA+ community but everyone beyond as well. We specialize in concerts, portraits, pets, conceptual/surreal works, and more. We’re always happy to provide accommodations for our clients.

Specific collections in our physical art shop will have a percentage of the proceeds go to charities & organizations that benefit our community. We also do collaborations & mutual-aid with other LGBTQIA+ individuals & organizations. We believe giving back & helping others is how to build a better tomorrow.

We are determined to utilize our photographs & art to advocate for our queer family, and ultimately help create social change in America.
